A word of caution to those considering retaining a Private Investigator:
Being a retired police detective does not necessarily qualify one for Private Investigations work. Law enforcement investigation is completely different from private investigations. Further, law enforcement investigators have advantages and increased access to information, but those advantages are not legally available to anyone not investigating a crime for a law enforcement agency - regardless of what some might say. To properly serve as a private investigator, the investigator must be a trained private investigator and work within legal guidelines. Be sure your prospective PI can furnish proof of private investigation training. You can rest assured that your PSC investigator is properly trained and up to date on all the legal guidelines.
