Frequently Asked Questions

After years in business, we have been asked the same question by many of our clients. While we are happy to answer any and all question you may have, we have included some of the most common questions here. If your question(s) are not listed, please contact us for answers to your specific question(s).

Q: In what states do you operate?
A: We are currently authorized to provide full security and related services in Wyoming, Colorado and Idaho. We are currently obtaining our Class-A (Private Security Company/Private investigators) license in Ohio.

Q: What if I need your services in a state not listed above?
A: In these situations, we can obtain the necessary license or operate under the license of a trusted local company. This is a common practice due to the vast differences in each States’ license requirements. PSC is constantly researching each state license requirements, and maintain a list of qualified local companies in order to insure our operations are 100% legal at all times.

Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes. Neither Wyoming nor Colorado requires insurance for security related companies but we do carry a comprehensive insurance policy totaling several million dollars in a variety of areas.

Q: Is your staff licensed?
A: It is our policy that staff should be licensed and have background checks. We require our staff to obtain and maintain a State issued Security Guard license (aka Guard Card) from a state such as California, Utah, Montana, Texas or Ohio. These licenses give us (and our Clients) the added assurance that our operators meet these requirements, including state and federal background checks, in order to work in the security industry.

Q: What about staff training?
A: PSC provides an in-depth training program for our operators. This training includes safety (OSHA and MSHA), industry specific subjects, security operations, safe driving, investigatory procedures, counter-terror operations, first-aid/CPR, basic HAZMAT environmental protection, and many others. Each training program is based on job locations and the industry served. We also make our staff available for any and all client required training, specific safety training and safety meetings.
